Tunturi Peaks — Help

A ski-resort tycoon set on a Finnish fell. Build lifts and runs, keep the snow good, look after your guests and your money, and grow from a hill with one drag lift into a real resort.

Quick start

  1. Pick a mountain on the start screen. Gentle hills (Arctic Fell, Bunny Hills) are best for learning; tall, sharp peaks give a lot of vertical but little flat land.
  2. Build a lift. Choose Lifts, pick a type, click low ground for the bottom station, then higher ground for the top. Press Enter to finish (or keep clicking to add pylons/bends). Esc cancels, Backspace removes the last point.
  3. Build a run. Choose Run, click a lift station to start, click to add bends, then click a downhill station (or open ground) to finish. Runs are coloured by steepness: green, blue, red, black.
  4. Add the basics near the base: a Parking lot, a Lodge (food), Rentals, and a Patrol hut. Guests who cannot park, eat or rent gear get unhappy or never arrive.
  5. Set a fair ticket price with the slider in the top bar. The small label beside it shows what guests think a day ticket is worth.
  6. Press play. The clock runs around the clock; use the speed buttons (II pause, 1×, 2×, 4×, 8×). You can build while paused.
A season is 90 days (like a real Dec–Feb season). Money and buildings carry over into the next season.

On a phone or tablet

  • One finger orbits the camera; two fingers pan, and pinching zooms.
  • Camera height: hold the ▲ / ▼ buttons in the right-hand column to raise or lower the camera.
  • Lifts and runs: pick the tool, then tap the hill to aim. A ring shows where the point will go, and the panel at the bottom shows the cost and whether it is allowed. Press Place here to confirm, Undo to step back and Cancel to stop. After the top station is placed, press Build lift (or Bend to add a bend first).
  • The top bar is compact on small screens: the season counter is hidden and the buttons for overlays, photo mode and undo sit in a column on the right.
Panning speed follows your zoom level, so it is slower when you are very close to the ground. Zoom out a little, or press H, if the view ever feels stuck.

Building

Lifts

From cheap and slow to fast and expensive: drag lift, T-bar, 2/4/6/8-seat chairs, small and big gondolas. Faster lifts move more guests per hour but cost more to build and run, and need more staff.

Runs

Runs cut a trench and clear trees. Each leg between bends is graded by its own steepness. Use Lifts & Runs to name them, set opening hours, and add floodlights for night skiing. Trail poles (click a run) reduce accidents and help in fog.

Run features

Features adds a terrain park, jumps, rails, ski cross or moguls to one leg of a run, and safety fences on bends. Races need specific features (see Goals).

Buildings

BuildingWhat it does
Lodge / RestaurantFood between runs; earns a share of the day's revenue. Restaurants are bigger and charge per guest.
Kota caféSki-in grill hut; earns most when beside a piste and gives guests a mood boost.
RentalsBeginners and intermediates rent gear on arrival. Without one nearby they get frustrated.
Patrol hutCuts rescue time, keeps red/black runs safer, nudges reputation up. Needs a hired patroller.
ParkingGuests arrive by car. Not enough spaces and some never reach the hill.
LodgingHotels, villas, apartment houses and hostels — overnight guests.
LeisureCinema, bowling and spa; also ice rink, sledding hill and a wildlife safari when unlocked.
ShopsGear shop and repair workshop: sell and mend equipment for extra income.
Snow gunMakes snow when it is cold enough; needs water and power (see Infrastructure).
UtilitiesShuttle bus stop, water reservoir, substation and wind turbine.
StreetA paved, lamp-lit walking street; boosts nearby lodging and entertainment.
XC trackGroomed cross-country track on gentle ground; earns per skier while there is snow.

Many buildings can be resized (S/M/L/XL). Click an existing building to see its details; use Remove to demolish.

Terrain, land & water

  • Terrain — sculpt the mountain: raise, lower, smooth or flatten. Drag to paint. Costs money per stroke. Handy for flat ground under buildings.
  • Forest — plant or clear trees by painting. Trees look good and shelter guests, but runs and buildings need cleared ground.
  • Lake — dig a lake into gentle ground. It freezes in winter, adds scenery, and feeds water for snow guns. A lakeside sauna with an ice hole earns spa income in winter.
  • Land — in the Buy parcels and Grows on demand land modes you only own part of the world. Bigger mountains start with a bigger owned block. Buy or survey more land when you run out of room. Whole hill gives you everything from the start.
Sharp, tall mountains have flatter shelves and gentler flanks mixed in, so there is room for beginner runs and buildings as well as expert terrain.

Snow & weather

  • Snow depth builds with snowfall and melts faster on sunny, south-facing slopes. When cover gets too thin a run closes.
  • Use the ❄ Snow overlay to see thin (red) and deep (blue) areas.
  • Snow guns add snow in cold weather. They need water (reservoir or lake nearby) and power.
  • Groomers (snowcat plus a groomer on staff) keep runs smooth; skied-out runs get bumpy.
  • Fog reduces visitors and makes accidents likelier. Wind can close exposed lifts. Random events appear in a banner and in the log.
  • On rare clear nights you may see the northern lights; reindeer wander the fell.

Guests & satisfaction

Four guest types arrive: beginners, families, freeriders and racers. Each wants something different (easy runs, rentals and food; steep terrain and powder; etc.).

  • Click a guest on the mountain to see their mood and what is bothering them.
  • 💬 Guests shows recent reviews, why satisfaction moved today (long queues, no food, thin snow, price too high…), and an income breakdown by source.
  • 🔥 Heat shows where guests crowd and where they get annoyed — a good guide to where to add a lift or a second run.
  • A ski school and a beginner area bring in and keep new skiers.
  • Reputation rises with satisfaction and falls with accidents, closures and bad reviews. Higher reputation means more guests.

Money

Click the money figure in the top bar to open Finance.

Ticket prices

Set the base price with the slider, and separate multipliers for weekends and holidays in Finance. Charge more and fewer guests come; charge less and you fill up but earn less per head. The "fair" label shows the going rate for your resort.

Season passes

Sold before the season starts. Passes bring cash up front and steady visitors, but each pass-holder pays nothing per visit.

Staff

Hire lift operators, patrollers, instructors, groomers and mechanics under Staff. Wage level is set in Finance — higher pay means more efficient staff. Understaffed lifts run slowly or close.

Loans & insurance

Borrow up to a limit that grows with your resort, and repay when you can. Insurance has a premium but covers part of the cost of accidents and damage.

Other costs

Lifts and snowcats have daily running costs; buildings have upkeep; off-season days still cost money.

If money stays negative for several days you hit a bankruptcy warning. You can accept a bail-out, but it comes with a price.

Safety

  • Accidents happen more on steep, icy or foggy runs and on lifts that are overcrowded or worn.
  • Build a Patrol hut near the base and hire a patroller; keep a first-aid post and trail markers on difficult runs.
  • Trail poles cut accidents on a run and help in fog.
  • The daily advisor tip and the season calendar in the HUD flag problems before they hurt reputation.
  • In high avalanche danger weeks, steep exposed runs can be closed or risky. Watch the warnings.

Infrastructure

  • Lift wear: lifts age with use and can break down. A mechanic on staff reduces breakdowns; use the Lifts & Runs panel to service or upgrade lifts.
  • Wind: exposed lifts close when the wind is too strong. Chairlifts and gondolas are more sensitive than drag lifts.
  • Power: snow guns, lifts and lit runs draw power. Build a substation and, optionally, a wind turbine on the ridge. If power runs short, things slow down.
  • Water: snow guns need water from a reservoir or a lake nearby.
  • Shuttle bus stop: brings guests in without needing car-park space.

Goals & progression

Open Goals in the toolbar for:

  • Getting started — a checklist for your first season.
  • Achievements — one-off milestones.
  • Sponsors — contracts that pay you if you meet their conditions.
  • Races — host competitions; they need the right run features and boost reputation.
  • Research / upgrades — buy technology (for example an app that lifts demand) with money.

Unlockable attractions include an ice rink, sledding hill, snowmobile and dog-sled safari.

Late game

  • Rival resorts in the region compete for the same guests; your reputation and price compared with theirs matters.
  • Summer break: at the end of each season you can run a one-month summer summary (hiking, mountain biking, festivals) for extra income before the next winter.
  • Bankruptcy: sustained losses trigger a warning and a bail-out option.
  • Avalanche risk builds after heavy snowfall and is managed with warnings and closures.

Multiplayer (hot-seat)

Choose Mode A — Pass & Play for 2–4 players sharing one device.

  1. Each player picks a plot of land on the draft screen (arrow keys to move, Enter to claim). Each player gets one resort.
  2. Play proceeds in rounds (8). Each turn is a few in-game days on your own resort; press End Turn to pass early. A hand-off screen asks you to pass the device.
  3. An optional turn timer (2 or 4 minutes) can be set at the start; when it runs out your turn ends.
  4. All players share one regional visitor pool. A resort's share depends on its reputation, snow quality, and its ticket price compared with the others': cheaper than the average pulls guests in, dearer pushes them away.
  5. After each round there is a scoreboard, then a tour-operator contract sealed-bid auction: the highest bid wins +30% visitors for the next round and pays the bid.
  6. Final score: 60% net worth, 25% satisfaction, 15% reputation.
In multiplayer the Save/Load button is hidden, and the single-player progression gating is off.

Saving & undo

  • Save/Load stores named saves in your browser. Use different names for different resorts. You can also load a save from the start screen.
  • Undo (Ctrl+Z) reverses your last build, terrain, forest or street action.
  • Saves live in this browser on this device — they do not follow you to another computer.

Tips & troubleshooting

  • Start small: one lift, one green and one blue run, a lodge, rentals, parking and a patrol hut. Add the next lift only when queues build up.
  • Check the Service chip and 💬 Guests every few days — they tell you what to build next.
  • Keep some cash in reserve before winter ends; off-season days still cost upkeep.
  • Check run grades against the guests you attract: a hill full of black runs scares beginners and families.
  • Pause (II) while planning big builds; you can build with the clock stopped.
  • The camera feels stuck? Press H to recentre, and zoom out a little.
  • Slow on a phone or an old laptop? Hide the HUD (V), turn off the heat/snow overlays and avoid very large mountains.
  • This help file, help.html, must sit in the same folder as the game file for the ? button to find it.
